Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply when you visit www.linkbookpg.com, contact LinkBOOK or purchase products and services from us.
LinkBOOK is a laptop brand operated by Buki Techcare in Papua New Guinea. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep product descriptions, specifications, prices and availability accurate. However, information may occasionally contain errors or become outdated.
Images are provided for illustration. Minor differences in colour, appearance, packaging or included accessories may occur.
2. Product Availability
All products are subject to availability. Submitting an enquiry or requesting a quotation does not reserve stock unless we confirm the reservation.
We may limit quantities, decline an order or withdraw a product where reasonably necessary.
3. Prices and Quotations
Prices are stated in Papua New Guinea kina unless otherwise indicated.
Prices may change because of exchange rates, freight costs, supplier pricing, taxes or other business costs. Once we issue a quotation, it remains valid only for the period stated on that quotation.
Delivery and other charges will be disclosed before an order is confirmed wherever reasonably possible.
4. Orders
An order is confirmed only after we:
- Accept the order.
- Confirm product availability.
- Agree on the total amount payable.
- Receive any required payment or deposit.
Customers are responsible for providing correct contact, delivery and product information.
5. Payments
Payments must be made through an approved LinkBOOK or Buki Techcare payment channel.
Customers should confirm our payment details before transferring funds. We will not be responsible for payments sent to an unauthorised person, incorrect account or fraudulent account not controlled by us.
Ownership of a product remains with us until full payment has been received and cleared.
6. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by airlines, freight companies, weather, public holidays, customs, road conditions or circumstances outside our control.
Customers must provide an accurate delivery address and working phone number. Additional delivery costs caused by incorrect information may be charged to the customer.
Where a product is sent through a third-party carrier, customers should inspect the package upon collection and report visible loss or damage immediately.
7. Inspection and Reporting Problems
Customers should inspect products as soon as possible after receiving them.
Any incorrect product, missing item, visible damage or suspected fault should be reported promptly with photographs, video and proof of purchase. Delayed reporting may make it difficult to verify how the problem occurred.
8. Warranty and After-Sales Support
Warranty coverage, duration and exclusions will be stated on the invoice, warranty document or product listing supplied with the product.
Warranty generally does not cover:
- Accidental or physical damage.
- Liquid damage, fire or electrical damage.
- Misuse, neglect or improper storage.
- Unauthorised repairs, modifications or upgrades.
- Damage caused by malware or incompatible software.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Lost passwords, forgotten login details or loss of customer data.
A warranty claim may require inspection before a repair, replacement or other remedy is approved. Customers should back up important files before submitting a device because data may be erased during diagnosis or repair.
Nothing in these terms excludes customer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Papua New Guinea law.
9. Returns and Cancellations
Change-of-mind returns are not automatically accepted.
A return or cancellation must be approved by us before a product is sent back. Returned products must include the original packaging, accessories and proof of purchase unless we agree otherwise.
Special orders, customised products, activated software and products damaged after delivery may not qualify for return, except where required by applicable law.
Approved refunds will be made through an agreed payment method after the product and claim have been assessed.
10. Software
Software supplied with a laptop remains subject to the licence terms of its owner or developer. Customers must use all software lawfully.
LinkBOOK does not claim ownership of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office or other third-party software and trademarks.
11. Customer Data
Customers are responsible for backing up their files. Unless required by law, LinkBOOK and Buki Techcare will not be responsible for data loss resulting from hardware failure, malware, repair, reinstallation or customer misuse.
12. Resellers and Distributors
Submitting a reseller or distributor application does not create an authorised partnership.
Authorization is granted only after written approval and, where required, a separate agreement. Applicants must not represent themselves as official LinkBOOK resellers or distributors before receiving written authorization.
13. Intellectual Property
The LinkBOOK name, logo, website content, product images, graphics and marketing materials belong to Buki Techcare or their respective owners.
They may not be copied, altered, republished or used commercially without written permission.
14. Acceptable Website Use
You must not use this website to:
- Commit fraud or unlawful activity.
- Submit false or misleading information.
- Attempt to access restricted systems or customer information.
- Introduce malware or interfere with website operation.
- Copy or misuse our branding and content.
15. Limitation of Responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, LinkBOOK and Buki Techcare will not be liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost data or delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Our responsibility will not be limited where doing so would be unlawful.
16. Third-Party Services
Our website may link to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or separate terms.
